Ever heard of Qualcomm? 23andMe? iRobot? Symantec?

These, along with thousands of other companies over the last 40 years, got their start with funding from the Small Business Innovation Research program.

It’s not a loan; you don’t have to pay it back.  And it’s non-dilutive; you don’t have to give up any ownership equity.

Do you have an innovative idea?  Are you looking for funding to bring your idea to the market?

This program may make sense for you.  There are 11 agencies of the US government that provide funding to qualified small businesses to bring their inventions from the research stage to a commercial product.  These are grants or contracts that can reach $2M or more.

Instructor: David Walker, Shasta-Cascade SBDC Director

David has over 25 years of direct experience in nearly every facet of business, with in-depth knowledge in many areas, including equity capital, leadership, intellectual property (IP), technology licensing and SBIR/STTR programs
